Projects

These projects recorded my learning journey as an aerospace engineering student.

Servo Motor Controlled Gripper

Designing a solution for a drone to hold and release an object with handle bar

Working as part of a team, I helped design and build a servo motor controlled gripper capable of opening and closing to grasp objects. The project combined mechanical design, electronics, and programming to demonstrate automated motion control. My Contributions: Creating the original design and assembly of the gripper on CAD. Integrated servo motors with the mechanical linkage. Participated in system testing and troubleshooting. Assigning work according to teammates' capabilities and managing their progress.

Octocopter Design & Assembly

Throughout the CAD course at Centennial College, I created a complete eight-rotor (octocopter) drone in SolidWorks. Under the instructor's guidance, I created every component individually before assembling the entire drone into a fully constrained 3D model. This project served as the culmination of everything learned throughout the semester, allowing me to apply part modeling, assembly techniques, engineering drawings, and design intent in a comprehensive mechanical design project. Outcome The project provided an excellent opportunity to consolidate the CAD skills developed throughout the semester and significantly strengthened my understanding of mechanical design principles. The experience also helped prepare me for the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) – Mechanical Design certification, which I successfully earned. Certification Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) – Mechanical Design Credential ID: C-K6RUYCDJAG

Aerospace Manufacturing Experience

Practicing aerospace manufacturing skills, i.e CNC, CMM, Precision Manufacturing, Quality Control

Throughout the AMET program, I completed numerous manufacturing and inspection exercises designed to simulate aerospace production environments. These projects focused on producing precision components while maintaining strict dimensional and quality requirements. Experience Included CNC milling and turning Manual lathe and milling operations Precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS GD&T interpretation Blueprint reading Manufacturing process planning
